PC Satellite TV - Review

Satellite TV for pc 2008 is one of the best software packages I have found for getting satellite TV on your PC.

PC Satellite TV is one of the newest things that have come out since cable TV in the seventies. I have just tried out some new software that brings me over 2000 channels from around the world. This is absolutely incredible. If you would like to check out a site that offers pc satellite tv at a one time only price.

PC satellite TV allows you to watch all of favorite sporting events. Now you'll never miss a game no matter what. This PC satellite TV software includes all kinds of viewing including sports, news, movies, music, weather, kids channels, educational, shopping, radio Stations and much, much more!

One of the best things about having PC satellite TV is that you only pay a very small one-time fee. You never get charged again. That's a big plus in my book when it comes to PC satellite TV. Just think, for the price of movie tickets for your family could watch over 2000 stations on your PC or laptop forever! More than one million users are already enjoying the incredible variety.

I have saved a lot of money by using PC satellite TV. With the money saved I have bought a computer projector that goes on a 10x12 movie screen. The cost was about six hundred dollars for the set up. It is like have a movie theater in your home. Your whole family can enjoy PC satellite TV.

I get all kinds of movie channels free of charge. This allows me to pick and choose what I want to watch and when. PC satellite TV has almost unlimited movies of choice from over 2000 stations. I am sure the cable companies will be hurting from this as more people find out about how well PC satellite TV works. I already have several friends that use it. One even has it in his limo.

It is simply amazing. I never run out of things to watch with the PC satellite TV. My kids love it and it keeps the busy for hours. The day you cancel your cable TV or your satellite carrier you'll be smiling. Make sure you have access to the Internet as this is all you need. As well as some reliable software. I have been using this software for over a month now and there is never any interruption while I am watching PC Satellite TV. I will post more articles and reviews of any other software that I come across. In the mean time this one works great!

Dish Network Satellite TV Review

When asked what is most important to people when dealing with home entertainment, most people agree that convenience is number one. They want their television viewing to be simple, with a large number of options. This desire for convenience is one of the major reasons why Dish Network is the top satellite television provider in the United States, with well over 12 million customers and more being added daily. Dish Network understands that their customers want the very best in service and program availability, but with the highest level of ease and accessibility.

The incredible ease of being a Dishnetwork customer starts right away, with the initial ordering of the product being either an online click or a telephone call away. A friendly and helpful customer representative receives your call, and schedules an appointment for the satellite system to be installed. This installation and set-up is planned around your busy schedule.

The day of installation, a highly trained and reputable technician will install the new system for free. That's right- there is absolutely no cost for the initial set-up of your satellite system! In addition, all of the equipment that is given to you is 100% free. Dish Network's reputation for excellent customer service is based on these sorts of deals. The technician will then take the time necessary to answer any questions you may have, as well as show you how to use the remote and any other parts of your new set-up that may need an explanation. They will also alert you to methods used for trouble-shooting, such as Dishnetwork's 24-hour online and telephone customer service.

Once the new equipment is in place, the convenience continues as you are the one who decides what type of programming will be part of your package. In other words, you'll also be the one who determines how much your bill will be each month. There will definitely be no surprise fees when your bill is delivered. As for that programming, you'll probably have a tough time picking from all of the options offered by Dish Network. Options abound, whether you're looking for sports, movies, news, children's programs, weather, local or regional broadcasts, sitcoms, international shows, or specialty-themed channels. Why You Should Be Using Satellite TV Software On Your Computer

If you haven't heard about satellite TV software for your computer, you are missing out on an incredible viewing experience. There are many benefits that it can offer, making satellite television seem antiquated by comparison. Here is just a glimpse at what this software can do for you.

Back when satellites first became affordable for the general public, everyone was amazed at the quality and how many channels you could get. The newness wore off however as people realized that it packed a hefty monthly fee. If you want more than just basic channels, you'll be paying at least $50 a month, which can quickly add up over time.

How much money have you spent on your satellite TV? Use it for at least a year, and you've already spent $600. If you want extra movie channels, it can easily run into at least $1000 a year. All of this, and you're still limited in your selection and subjected to occasional blackouts and equipment problems.

Satellite television software for your PC has only one initial fee. After that, you're free to watch as much as you want, with over 4000 channels, and you never have to pay another dime. It more than pays for itself after the first two months. You could be spending all of that extra money you'll save on things you really need.

Installing this software is incredibly easy. Even novice computer users can be up and running in just a few minutes. You won't have to run out and purchase any expensive add-ons or cards for your computer. If you have a computer with internet access, you'll be all ready to go.

One of the nicer aspects of satellite television for your computer is that you don't have to worry about positioning a satellite on your house. This is definitely one of the major drawbacks of satellite television. The bulky device detracts from the value and curb appeal for your home and they can be incredibly tricky to install.

Storms and other outages also frequently affect these devices, making them more of a pain to run than they should be. Instead of going through all of this, you can simply download the software to your computer and start watching television on your PC right away.

Once you've installed a regular satellite, you'll be limited to your home if you want to watch television. If you are frequently on the road, you'll be spending money for nothing. With this software, you can install it on your laptop and watch television virtually anywhere. If you have a WIFI card, you can even take it into restaurants and watch television on your PC while you eat.

The time has definitely come to embrace this new technology. The money that you'll save more than justifies the purchase. Add on the extra benefit of being able to watch television no matter where you are and the lack of necessary equipment and you've got an awesome entertainment solution.

Direct TV

I would not recommend Direct tv to anyone.

Here is my experience with Direct TV:

1. I spoke with 2 different sales agents and asked them both the same question “how many HD channels would I get with my package?” Both said the same thing, “no matter what basic package you have, if you buy the 9.99 hd programming you get ALL hd channels.” so I swtiched, thinking that I was getting an incredible deal.

2. Of course when I started to play around with the system I had very few had channels, and even though the channel said hd, that does not mean that the shows on that channel are broadcast in HD.

3. The installer put huge holes in my siding to install the dish. And instead of running the cables along the bottom of my house so they can’t be seen, the installer ran everything eye level across my house.

4. I was so upset with the service that I had received I called to cancel the next day. I was told that since I canceled within the 3 day trial period I would not be charged a cancellation fee. All I had to do was send the receiver back to direct tv.

5. Well I was charged over $500 dollars in cancellation and other fees. It has taken me over a month and 8 or 9 phone calls to get PART of my money back. I have still not recieved the entire amount that they auto withdrawed out of my bank account.

6. Every time I spoke with a customer service agent I was told one thing and another ended up happening.

I may have been nieve to believe what the sales people told me, but shouldn’t a company be honest and up front about there service from the very beginning. And not say what needs to be said to get the sale done and then let the retention department clean up the mess. And what happened to customer service being a fast and effecient way of taking care of a problem. all they have are glorified message takers who pass along notes to people who don’t care about you as a cutomer.

Dish Satellite Broadband Cable TV Review

gives you the consumer the opportunity to review and compare dish satellite to cable tv. Listen to what experienced satellite and cable tv viewers have to say about the services they have received through the years from from the top satellite and cable tv companies in the country.

Hear what the novice dish and cable buyer have to say about mistakes they have made so you won't do the same. And most of all enjoy whatever you are watching on TV

Dish Network Review

Many people have found that satellite television is the right kind of service for their home needs. It’s not uncommon for bars and hotels to have satellite TV’s playing the days sports games, as satellite TV subscribers have access to some of the best sports programming available. We’ve come to love Dish Network in particular, and though we’d love to rant and rave about why you should sign up, we’ve decided to simply list off all of the reasons why we feel that Dish Network is the number one television provider in America, be it Satellite or Cable.

  1. The price is right – With pricing starting at under $30, Dish Network offers great value to their customers. Their typical program is $29.99 a month, and it includes 100 of America’s top channels as well as 30 HD channels. If you’ve got a high definition TV there’s never been a better reason to enjoy it.

Basic cable (if you are even in cables access area) is $20 a month in itself, and that’s for fewer than 30 channels. $30 for 100 channels is an amazing price.

  2. The hardware is capable – We love the idea of being able to incorporate a DVR to our home theater setup. In fact, if you are with Dish Network, you can obtain a DVR for a surprisingly low cost ($200 by itself, or free on an 18-month contract). The DVR that comes with the contractual commitment is capable of storing over 100 hours of television programming, sending an audio/video signal to more than one television, and can actually act on two separate TV’s.

Upgraded DVR options allow for HD recording, HD playback, larger hard drives (for more television storage), and more overall functionality. We have yet to see another major competitor come along and match the effectiveness of Dish Network’s DVR solutions.

  3. High-def aplenty – The base package offered by Dish Network offers 30 high definition channels, and the expanded packages offer as much as 34. Keep in mind that these high definition channels are not including the high definition pay-per-view channels where you can rent high definition movies.

With the latest LCD and plasma TV’s offering unreal image quality, having to restrict your high definition enjoyment to Blu-Ray or HDVD movies is unreasonable. There is no other network that can compete with the high-definition content available from Dish Network.

  4. Fantastic package selection – Subscribers have the ability to configure just about every aspect of their programming package. In general, there are six main types of packages available:

DishFamily – Dish Network provides 40 channels, including popular sports, movie, and news channels, for just $19.99 a month. Users can also opt to include specialized or local channels for a small monthly premium.

    America’s Top 100
    – Over 100 channels are included for $29.99 a month, including the Disney channel and the Discovery Channel. As well, America’s Top 100 offers 30 high definition channels for you to enjoy on your high definition television.

    America’s Top 100 Plus
    – The same amazing value offered by the America’s Top 100 package is expanded on with regional news stations and sports channels. The pricing remains just $34.99 a month, including 30 high definition channels.

    America’s Top 200
    – Just as the name implies, America’s Top 200 includes 200 of the top channels in America. You’ll find a huge selection of premium channels, movies, specialty channels, and commercial-free music channels. Pricing is just $47.99 a month with local channels.

    America’s Top 250
    – Over 250 channels, including premium services like the Speed Channel and the Golf Channel, high-quality streaming music, and all of your favorites. This package, along with local channels and high definition content, is just $57.99 a month.

    America’s Everything Pak
    – This package features over 280 channels, including 31 movie channels offered by Showtime. This package has everything that’s worth watching, including local channels, and is only $94.99 a month.

  5. Excellent customer service – Every problem that we’ve ever had with Dish Networks has been resolved quickly and professionally. We’ve always felt like valued customers, and we know that they’ll extend you the same courtesy.

Finding a satellite solution that adequately meets your needs is never an easy task, and we’re glad to see that Dish Network has taken an active approach by offering tons of content, as well as the option to purchase international content. There is the capability to have a satellite TV equipped with over 600 channels if you include local and international channels. With that much content, the real question is “how much TV can you actually watch?”

Is satellite TV harder to install than cable?

Installation of any service can cause serious anxiety in anyone. Cable companies use this to their advantage, trying to convince you that satellite TV installation is difficult and expensive. I've had both types of service, and I can tell you any install has troubles and benefits. I recently moved to a new address and had to change my DirecTV satellite subscription. Read on to see if my installation anxiety was justified.

Cable installs
The two times I had digital cable installed, about four years ago, were relative breezes. I was most bothered by the installer's insistence on showing me how to use the remote. The second time, the installer didn't hook up the VCR correctly, but that was a minor annoyance.

My dates with satellite installers
My first DirecTV installation, three years ago, was smooth. It took about an hour to install in the living room and the bedroom. The installer used existing cables from previous cable installations, which made it a snap.

After that installation, things got complicated. I bought a DirecTV TiVo box and installed it myself but took advantage of free installation so that I wouldn't have to drill the hole for the second line. The DirecTV TiVo has two tuners, so it needs two cables going into it. The first box I got had a broken second tuner. Even though the installer noted this, DirecTV made me schedule a second installation. The same installer came back out, annoyed, and made sure DirecTV sent me a new box. The second box came and still works fine.

High-def turns into high price
The next time I needed an installer was when I got an HDTV set and bought the HDTV TiVo from DirecTV. I didn't need an installer for the box, but I did need a new dish. DirecTV charged me for that but offered free installation.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the free installation, and I ended up paying $90 to the installer. I wanted to move the old non-HD TiVo into the bedroom and so needed a second line run there. The installer claimed he had to charge me because that was not part of the HD dish install. I didn't call DirecTV at the time, as he offered, but I should have.

Always call the parent company
The moral of that story? Always call the main company if you have any dispute with an installer. DirecTV and Dish Network both want to combat the perception that their installs are difficult. To that end, they bend over backwards to make it easy.

A Dish Network representative told me that the company will cover "a large majority of anything a customer may need to get the system installed, including providing enough cabling, components, necessary labor, as well as any special needs, (i.e. Wall Fish, Attic Crawl, Pole Mount, etc.) to get the customer installed."

In my case, I suspect my guy was right to charge me since the HDTV was obviously in the main room and it was my own idea to move the old TiVo into the bedroom. But I'll never know for sure.

How bad is this move?
So, that previous experience left me wondering if my current move would cause issues. I'd never moved with satellite TV before. DirecTV told me that installing a new dish and running up to 125 feet of cable would be absolutely free as long as I committed to 12 months of programming--or I could not commit, and pay. I chose free.

Amazingly, the installation was a dream. My installer went by the book, ran two cables to each location, and set up the boxes for me, since I had just moved that morning. I was able to watch TV at my old house up until the time I unplugged my TV and moved it, and I had service back by 4 o'clock that afternoon.

Both Dish Network and DirecTV employ independent contractors as well as their own technicians. They make every effort to insure you get the same treatment from all installers, but you need to know the rules before you get an installation. With cable, everything is usually covered, and you generally don't have to sign a one-year contract, although I have heard some good cable horror stories. So it's important, no matter which way you go, to find out up front what kind of installation is offered and covered.

Is satellite definitely more hassle than cable? Not really. Don't believe the FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt). Make your decisions based on who offers the best deals on the services you want.

Review of satellite TV

PC satellite TV is the new kid on the block in digital satellite TV technology. So just what is so fascinating about being able to watch satellite TV on PC? Even as we discuss, there is an exodus of current viewers who are watching satellite TV channels on television sets to satellite TV on PC. Let us discover more about this PC satellite TV technology and see if the old satellite TV system is obsolete or still relevant.

PC satellite TV runs on a proprietary internet technology. In order to tap into the system and watch satellite TV on PC, you need to install and run a software application. Now, this software is available online and can be downloaded easily from the internet. Once installed and running, you will be able to locate a list of national and international satellite TV channels from Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, India, Japan, Kuwait, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands and Norway that you can watch. Of course, these channels include cartoons, movies, music videos and more. This is very similar to satellite TV services run by the service providers which give you hundreds of satellite TV channels.

In terms of program variety, watching satellite TV on PC has an advantage over traditional satellite dish TV systems. The difference here is PC satellite TV uses internet connection, whether dial-up or broadband to receive their feeds. Traditional satellite TV system relies on satellite dish setup and can vary depending on your locality, the range your satellite dish covers and whether it is multi or single satellite dish unit. With PC satellite TV, you get to watch more programs.

Satellite TV system run on a dish system comprising satellite dish, receiver, decoder, etc. Setting up can be a hassle and needs more than one pair of hands. When it is misaligned due to weather or physical knocks, someone has to climb up the roof to adjust it to optimal position to restore the reception. PC satellite TV users vouch for the ease of installation.

What about pricing? Satellite TV services are normally bundled in different TV packages and can vary in the specific program category and prices. But generally, payment is on a monthly basis with occasional promotional discounts for yearly subscriptions. DIY satellite dish TV systems are free but you have to be tech-savvy and familiar with setting up your own satellite TV equipment. A decent satellite dish system can set you back by hundreds to thousands of dollars. PC satellite TV software would cost you roughly $60 – 100.

Satellite TV offers great mobility to people on the move. No matter where you are, traveling on a yacht or car, you can get to enjoy satellite TV programs anytime you want. You are not restricted by the time zone since TV shows and movies are screened round the clock. This is where the satellite dish has an edge over PC satellite TV. While it is true that you can still get internet access while on the move, the exorbitant cost of connection can fry your pocket.

As you can see, each TV system has its merits. Discover the scoop about PC satellite TV at my blog and find out how you can watch satellite TV on PC today.

Direct PC TV News

In this unusually short Scooby-Doo adventure, the Mystery Machine is parked outside of a haunted house. The gang has captured the villain known as Creeper and have tied him to a lounge chair. Velma unmasks the villain only to discover that it was really…the cable guy? “Zoinks!” Shaggy screams, while Velma reminds viewers that DIRECTV now has more HD channels than cable—which perfectly explains the motive of The Creeper/The Cable Guy who was involved in a massive conspiracy trying to stop everyone from switching their cable to DIRECTV. (In addition, you know he could have gotten away with it, if not for that meddling dog!)

However, DIRECTV’s campaign has not only exhumed Scooby Doo and friends but also Captain Kirk and Spock from Star Trek—starring the original actors William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy, looking unusually youthful thanks to cutting-edge CGI visual effects. What other iconic TV shows did DIRECTV salute in their 2006-2007 campaign? Bill Harding of the film Twister returned as played by Bill Paxton, while The Economics Teacher from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was revisited courtesy of Ben Stein. Dr. Emmett Brown (as played by Christopher Lloyd) traveled to us from 1985, while Baywatch’s favorite lifeguard, C.J. Parker, (Pamela Anderson) scolded us for watching HDTV while she was saving some poor drowning beach-dweller. Other cameo appearances included Rick Vaughn from Major League and Turtle from Entourage. The best DIRECTV recreation? Ellen Ripley of Aliens fame as Sigourney Weaver reappears to fight off aliens while speaking directly to us on the great features of HDTV. You have to figure that all those great cinema and TV heroes were fighting for more than just truth and adventure—who doesn’t take time off saving the world to watch TV?

Hawaii HI can have pleasure indoors-Direct TV

Hawaii Satellite TV almost seems like a frivolous invention. Who wants to hole up inside when there are sun kissed beaches, the world’s best surfing and a seemingly endless parade of tanned and toned bodies right outside your door? You will change your mind when you find out about everything Dish Network, Direct TV and Satellite TV have to offer. You may even close the blinds in the middle of the day to settle in with a British Sitcom or Soap Opera, a Spanish Futbal (soccer) match, or an Australian Cricket Game. That’s because each of the above products feature around 225 channels – giving the term “surfing” a whole new meaning – including specialty Sports Packs and premiums stations. Okay, so there aren’t many (or any) local sports teams to keep track of, but maybe you’re a Boston Red Sox or rival New York Yankees fans and want to watch the games. No problem, you can see them as they air on the East Coast.

Maybe you’re stuck inside with a sun burn from a fabulous weekend in Honolulu and want to unwind with some new movies, but don’t feel like heading to the multiplex or video store. Voila, just turn on your Satellite TV and choose from over 50 movie channels. There are authorized dealers everywhere in the country to help get you started and set up. Check with their sales representatives to find out if they’re offering any special deals. If you do your homework, you might be taking home a new DVD player along with Satellite TV.
